Kind Space is a welcoming community centre in Ottawa – unceded Algonquin territory – that is dedicated to connection, creation, and collaboration for 2SLGBTQ+ communities.  Their space offers resources, events, social and educational programming that celebrate, support, and uplift diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.

Kind Space is a physical place where people can just be. That’s all. Just be. No pressure. No expectations. No demands, obligations, responsibilities. Whoever they are – even if they don’t fully understand who they are.

At Kind Space, people are given a range of information and resources they can use to help themselves, as well as personal and peer support to understand and inhabit their particular identities with confidence and courage, whatever kind of identity it is.

Helping to support Kind Space feels like a natural extension of the message of this show – that every person matters and community is strongest when everyone is seen and heard.  By joining us for the show tonight, you’re helping support a space where people can belong, create, and thrive, wherever and whoever they are.
